According to my calculations, the following are the seven best three-game performances (PPR) for Wide Receivers so far in 2011. Can you match the stats with the correct player? (I’ll even give you the weeks in which the stats were achieved as a hint)

Cam Newton has more rushing TDs (13) than any other player in the NFL (LeSean McCoy is 2nd with 12) and more than 25 NFL teams. In fact, only 15 NFL teams have achieved 10+ rushing TDs through Week 13.

The San Francisco 49ers Defense has not  allowed a rushing TD or more than 64 rushing yards to a Running Back all season. Stay away from Beanie Wells in Week 14

In five career games vs SF, Beanie Wells has only exceeded 33 rushing yards once (79).

The New York Giants Defense is the only  Defense in the NFL ranked among the 10 most generous teams in Fantasy Football to each of the four skill positions.

The Baltimore Ravens Defense has only allowed eight passing TDs through 12 games, and never more than one in a game.

Rob Gronkowski has more receiving TDs (13) than any other player in the NFL ( Calvin Johnson is 2nd with 12) and more than six NFL teams (WAS-12, KC-11, SEA-11, IND-10, JAC-8, STL-7).

The St. Louis Rams league worst seven receiving TDs is less than nine players: Gronkowski-13, Johnson-12, Greg Jennings-9, Jordy Nelson-9, Eric Decker-8, Jimmy Graham-8, Vincent Jackson-8, Mike Wallace-8, and Wes Welker-8.

Just how bad has JAC QB Blaine Gabbert been this season? Well, in six of the ten games he has started, there has been at least one player in the NFL who has achieved more receiving yardage than Gabbert’s passing yardage total:

Eli Manning has 2+ TDs in each of his last four games vs DAL, and 300+ passing yards in 3 of 4.

In seven career games against CAR, Matt Ryan has only once passed for more than 240 yards (259).

Alex Smith has amassed 265+ passing yards AND two TDs in each of his last two battles with ARI.

Michael Turner has dominated CAR in his career, with five 100-yard rushing performances and 11 TDs in seven games.

Steven Jackson has been dominated in 15 career games vs SEA. Jackson has only scored seven TDs and never had a 100-yard rushing day in those contests.

Ahmad Bradshaw has never scored a TD in six career games against DAL.

Steve Smith has struggled to reach the endzone in 14 career games vs ATL, with only five TDs. In the same game, Roddy White has also been unsuccessful, scoring only four career TDs against CAR in 13 games.

In seven career battles with NE, Santana Moss has never exceeded 52 receiving yards. I like that to change in Week 14.

Jordy Nelson / Credit: Icon SMI

Jordy Nelson has been a beast in home games, scoring in each and averaging 4.8-91.6-1.4 (7 of his 9 TDs have come at Lambeau Field). Jermichael Finley, on the other hand, has been awful at home. All six of his TDs have come on the road, and he is only averaging 2.2-39.6 at Lambeau.

Answers:

1) Wes Welker

2) Percy Harvin

3) Calvin Johnson

4) Victor Cruz

5) Jordy Nelson

6) Pierre Garcon

7) Mike Wallace
